Client: Global aluminium producer

Drewry helped the client formulate a sea freight procurement strategy to meet the long-term shipping demand of both dry bulk (bauxite, alumina and calcined petcoke) and liquid bulk (caustic soda and liquid pitch) commodities. The total traded volume was estimated to be 26 million tonnes per annum. Freight cost was derived for various shipping options under various scenarios.
